Am all about health, wellness and healthy eating today, sometimes we have to go on a cleanse, not because we want to just out of necessity. Now don't get me wrong you folks know i love me a good meal but i love my body more and if its that time to detox then i have to be brave because taking care of my body is top priority.

What does Detoxing Mean?
Basically, detoxification means cleaning the blood. This is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph and skin. However, when this system is compromised, impurities aren't properly filtered and every cell in the body is adversely affected.
First question: How do you know when you need to detox?
Some of the following symptoms would tell you you need to detox asap.
1. Unexplained fatigue
2. Sluggish elimination
3. Irritated skin
4. Allergies
5. Low-grade infections
6. Puffy eye or bags under the eyes
7. Bloating

First you have to stop a lot of things
Eliminate alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, refined sugars and saturated fats, all of which act as toxins in the body and are obstacles to your healing process. Also, minimize use of chemical-based household cleaners and personal health care products (cleansers, shampoos, deodorants and toothpastes), and substitute natural alternatives.
